What we can tell you about the organizations we worked with this year

Hunt Valley, MD – 11/27/2018 – This year, the employees of Systems Alliance, Inc. (SAI) provided support to Helping Up Mission, Year Up Baltimore, Hereford Food Bank and Temple Emanu-El Holocaust Remembrance Center.

“After having spent time with these organizations, we’ve seen firsthand the value they bring to the communities they serve. I hope that our sharing information about them encourages others to support them as well,” said Ric Hughes, CEO of SAI.

Helping Up Mission is a Baltimore not-for-profit organization that aids men and women fighting addiction and homelessness with comprehensive recovery services. Through its Spiritual Recovery Program, the mission integrates the practical needs of its clients — food, clothing, shelter — with their clinical, mental health, medical, educational, and vocational needs.

This year, SAI staff donated furniture as well as time and services like its Acadia software platform, which will enable Helping Up to standardize and improve delivery of services to the Mission’s clients. If you’d like to support this important mission, the organization welcomes you to donate in many forms. You can contribute funding, volunteer time or supply food, clothing, and toiletries.

Hereford Food Bank serves 10 Zip Codes in northern Baltimore County. It is an all-volunteer operation and 100% of donations of both food and funds go toward fulfilling its mission to help those in need within the Hereford Zone. Hereford Food Bank strives to provide a small safety net for those in need, because hard times can fall on us all.

This was the seventh year for SAI to hold an office food drive for the food bank. Because it is an all-volunteer operation, private donations of food and funds are critical to its continuing operation.

Year Up Baltimore’s Professional Training Corps (PTC) offers an intensive, one-year program for students, ages 18-24, combining professional coaching, hands-on skill development, and internships at some of America’s top companies. PTC provides them with professional development and work experience, preparing graduates to launch a meaningful career.

SAI works with Year Up, providing internships and other real-world exposure to the business world. The organization provides an incredible opportunity for young adults in Baltimore. You can find motivated, talented and professional people to fill your open positions here. The organization is always looking for new corporate partners as well. It’s a great way to meet, train, and work with potential new hires before officially bringing them on board.

Temple Emanu-El Holocaust Remembrance Center in Livingston, NJ is a regional holocaust education and memorial facility. The center maintains a repository of historical artifacts and personal memories, enabling visitors to learn about the past and draw lessons for the future. The center serves as a link between generations by sharing access to many of its artifacts both in person and online.

SAI provided free access to our SiteExecutive CMS software, which the Center will be using to catalog, maintain and share its artifacts online.

The employees of SAI look at the work they do for these and other organizations as an important opportunity to support their community. In the fall, employees of SAI come together to decide which organizations they will support in the coming year. The company then organizes to provide time, resources and professional services.

“Every year, we try to make a difference for folks who really need help. I am consistently impressed with the compassionate kindness of our team,” said Hughes.
